{ out + about } Flower Crown Workshop at Anthropologie

Yesterday I took part in a flower crown & styling class at Anthropologie, taught by Halle of Flower and Fringe and hosted by Drea of the pretty well known blog Oh Dear Drea. I was so excited when I saw this class posted on Drea's blog, since I've been wanting to learn to make flower crowns for some upcoming photoshoots and possibly my bridal shower. This is my first time meeting a (big) blogger, and though I was little nervous, I was more excited to take part and meet creatives in the area. And the class was so much fun! We each got a vase of beautiful daisies to use for the main part of the crown, plus a selection of other pretty flowers and greens for fillers and accents.

Even the mess we made after was photo worthy! Halle and Drea were awesome teachers and hosts, and so friendly and sweet. So were the other girls I met at the event. All our crowns turned out so pretty and each one so unique!
So, if you are in need of some flowers & styling for your wedding, home or any small event, Halle is your girl! Also, check out Drea's blog full of colorful photos, inspiring writing & a beautiful life.

{ Out + About } The Riverside Market

This weekend we stopped by The Riverside Market before wandering downtown to shoot some photos for the blog. This little hidden spot is new to me, though my sister had been here before. Tucked away in between the Sailboat Bend and Riverside Park neighborhoods, this cozy little hangout is the perfect spot to grab a cold one, and with over 550 craft beers - a lot local - there is plenty to choose from! There's a few seats in front, nice to enjoy the beautiful weather, or tables and sofas inside,  if you're more in the lounging kind of mood. We chose to sit inside and scout the funky decor and signs, while waiting for our lunch, a simple grilled cheese sandwich that just hit the spot. We will definitely be coming back to try more items from their menu and their local drinks.

It's Art Basel week here in South Florida, and after a busy couple of weeks working hard to launch the shop, we will be taking a break and heading down to Miami for some inspiration and fun! Each year the events get bigger and better, with more galleries to explore, shows to attend, music to enjoy and art to admire. We look forward to gallery hopping with friends and viewing the local artist installations for inspiration.
We will share photos on the blog next week, but follow us on instagram for more!

Last weekend we checked out a new spot in Downtown Fort Lauderdale called Bar Stache. We had read that it had a 1920s vibe and craft cocktails so we were excited to check it out. And what better than to do a sister night out.

Located in what has been a few different bar/clubs before, we walked into completely renovated space. Candles, pearl necklaces, chandeliers, books and vintage pieces decorated the shelves and tables. The servers were dressed in 20's attire and the music was a mix of old tunes and new. Sis and I had the bartender surprise us with a different cocktail each. Whatever they were, they were so good!!

We only stayed a little while since we had to be up early the next morning. But we definitely plan to come back again. Bar Stache officially opens in early November but you can usually walk in Friday and Saturday nights. Read more about it here and check them out on facebook.
